Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. Later, she was a the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI situations. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News.
